ABOUT Osyris alba

A small, broom-like shrub 40 – 80 cm high, with green angular branches, small lance-shaped leaves. Its tiny scented yellowish flowers appear in April – June. Its fruits are red or orange globose fleshy drupes. Grows in arid, shrubby places, usually close to carob and lendisk. It is considered to be partly parasitic on roots of various trees and shrubs.
