The Akamas peninsula, as described in the Conservation Management Plan of World Bank/EU, covers about 230 square km and is located on the western tip of Cyprus.
In Akamas there are 46 endemic plants which do not exist anywhere else in the world!
Cyprus is home to three endemic species that breed here and nowhere else in the world!
