ABOUT Ardeola ralloides

Part of the species population that lives in most parts of sub-Saharan Africa but also a sub-population that overwinters around the Nile river estuary, migrates mainly in SE Europe and parts of western Asia, as well as several sparse areas of southern Europe and a small area along the coast of NW Africa (Morocco) where it breeds.
