A rare winter visitor to Cyprus and the Akamas peninsula. It’s seen singly or in small groups usually in forests, open areas with scattered trees, bushy areas etc.
It feeds on fruit, earthworms and insects. It’s a smallish thrush species, similar in size with the Song Thrush, with slightly shorter tail, darker upperparts, an obvious white supercilium and reddish sides of the belly.
