ABOUT Tulipa cypria
Bulbous, perennial herb, with glaucous green leaves and stems up to 30 cm high. Impressive dark purplish-crimson solitary flowers with a black basal blotch, appear during March – April. Grows on dry hillsides, pastures and juniper maquis.
