Very slender, elegant orchid, 15 – 30 cm tall. Basal leaves, linear, green to yellowish green, while stem leaves and inflorescence are purple-violet with 3 – 6 flowers appearing during March – April. Grows in grassy meadows, neglected farmland, phrygana, shrubland and open coniferous forests.
