Much branched, evergreen shrub 1 – 2 m high with frequently hanging shoots and deep green, leathery leaves. Very small brown-green flowers appear during the period April – July. Its fruits are red, fleshy berries that cover the whole plant. Grows on dry rocky ground, cliffs and fallow land.
