After a great deal of effort, we have managed to make available in our library as well as in our shop the book ‘AKAMAS (Nature / Myth / People)’, published by the Department of Antiquities (which is also the publisher), edited by Antonia Theodosiou and Evi Fiouri.

This book is small in size, yet fully informative on everything related to Akamas as a National Forest Park, historically, culturally, and in terms of cultural heritage. It includes photographic material and information on the area’s flora, marine life, fauna and birdlife, gorges, geology and antiquities, architectural heritage, history, as well as myths.

A true gem of a book for the region’s Information Centres, completing their role as centres showcasing the richness of the Akamas Peninsula. Visitors can read it in the library of the Akamas Birdlife and Flora Information Centre, and they can also purchase it from the Centre’s shop, either directly or by ordering it by phone or email.
