ABOUT Centaurea cyprensis

Perennial herb with a thick rootstock. The leaves form a rosette and the numerous spreading stems, up to 30 cm long are radially arranged. Flower heads grow at the end of the stems with purple-pink or white florets, during April – May. Grows in open pine forest and stony slopes on serpentine rocks together with Alyssum akamasicum.
