ABOUT Arbutus unedo

Evergreen shrub or small tree 3 – 5 m high with rough brown bark. Its leaves are leathery, shiny with toothed edges. Creamy white flowers in branched drooping clusters, appear during October to March and are followed by orange red berries. Grows in open forest land and shrubland, usually on limestone.
